"Nicely situated in the foothills overlooking Rodney Bay, a beautifully designed eco-friendly small Hotel. Smart layout and very quiet, with smiling hospitality to match. Owner and her entire operational staff were exceptional and kind. Hotel achieves the tough combination of being quaint & romantic Hotel, with yet a classic finish. Nice long walk through the jungle to Rodney Bay. Spectacular views of Rodney Bay and Gros Islet, and gorgeous on-site gardens- a photographers dream. Did not want to leave ......... can't wait until I return."

"This small, intimate hotel is set in the hills above Rodney Bay, with a spectacular view of Pigeon Point. It is beautifully and stylishly appointed, bright and cheerful, with a variety of spic and span ensuite rooms, all with a/c, to choose from; some have self-catering. Set in a small tropical garden with a deck and pool, the atmosphere is quiet, relaxed and friendly. The St. Lucian owner is always available to assist guests with their requests and tourist plans while in St. Lucia, and can arrange airport shuttles. The walk down the hill to Rodney Marina takes about twenty minutes, or five minutes by car. The hotel has a car park. If you don't want the impersonal all inclusiveness of the bigger hotels, This is the place for you!"

February 2014
"This is a small hotel in the hills next to Rodney Bay and the cleanest, most friendly hotel I have ever stayed at. Everyone was extremely friendly, from Cheryl and her staff to the other guests. Cheryl even hosted an impromptu valentines party for all the gusts and some local characters providing us very tasty local food and drinks. Thanks again to everyone helping to make this one of the best holidays we have had. We will be back p.s. Loved the debate about Sparrows mortality with Micheal, Melisa and the others at the party."

"After a bad experience with a villa that we had rented (details to follow) Cheryl took us in and treated us like family, drove us to the marina bought our groceries, we love everyone there, Karan, Shirley, Chelsea, the security guard who always welcomed us back at night, the pool was clean, the room, the grounds were immaculate, and a big thank you to our new friend, Cecilia who drove us around you are now all family to us, you truly care. Alter question 3 in FAQ. It should read “Taxis are available at the airports or you can request the taxi service to be arranged by the hotel."

December 2013
"Since our retirement 14 years ago, my wife and I have travelled extensively in Europe, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, having spent the winter months in the warmth of many of the Caribbean islands, including Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Martin, Granada, Montserrat, Turks and Caicos and Curacao, among others. Three years ago we discovered Habitat Terrace in St. Lucia through the recommendation of a Canadian friend who had stayed there the previous winter. What a wonderful surprise. We will be returning in January for our third 3-month-long winter escape from the frigid temperatures of northern New England. The staff of this small boutique hotel is as friendly and accommodating as in any property we have ever visited. Cheryl, the owner/manager could not be more gracious, offering even to drive us to church services every week and to occasional duplicate bridge games in town. Walking to the Rodney Bay shopping centers (a mile and a half away) provides us with a perfect exercise routine and we have had no need to rent a vehicle. Cheryl will arrange for reliable transportation (frequently driving us herself) for any excursions we wish to enjoy on this beautiful island. St. Lucia has become our favored winter destination largely because of our experience at Habitat Terrace, the friendliness of the St. Lucian people and the safe environment, not to mention the beautiful beaches, the availability of excellent dining and shopping, and the favorable monetary exchange rate."
